I would just go v8 for the money you spend on getting the 6 into the 11's you can spend the same on getting the 8 even faster. The 1st vid is BlackX from s10forum. Here is some info that will help you on your swap:

Been there, done it. Don't let anyone discourage you. Just do your thing and be different. I lost count of how many people I smoked with my v6 turbo trucks.
If you ever need any help, let me know. I also have a couple of engines (with the correct nodular iron main caps) and about a trailer load of parts to make your v6 fly.  Lol @ charlie.
